2011 BCS Championship

2013 CWS

I will say both teams had poor management from the head coaches. No QB/In Game changes, and they never tested this guy at catcher who isn't the #1 or bunted anyone over.

2011 BCSC

It wasn't that we lost that game, it was how we lost. It should've been much closer.

2013 CWS was different. I thought we were overrated for a team with so many young players, most of which looked lost in this series. Still, we should've done better than 0-2.

I described it like this on the SEC rant a few weeks ago:

quote:

1/9 put me into a sort of fugue state like the refusal to acknowledge fan. I walked around for the next year mostly in a drunk dissociative state to avoid thinking about it. Even when we beat the cocks in an awesome tiger stadium victory, I still thought of 1/9. I then told myself that if we beat Clemson in my last game of all time since 2006 as a student, I would let 1/9 go. Needless to say, I walked back to my hotel silently, skipped New Year's Eve, drank bourbon until I couldn't feel anything, and drove back from ATL in silence the next day. I'm still in denial about 1/9 and the Clemson loss and I won't talk about it with people. I honestly don't think I'll come out of this daze until we beat Bama again. So I'm going to go with psychological coma fan

Very similar both teams had their best season ever both were the most talented teams in the country. And both lost because the coaches refused to make a change !
Maneri refuses to play foster batting 340? I think .
Take out Rymes put Foster .

This. Not even sure how anyone can ask this question with a straight face. I'm already over the loss today. 1/9 still hurts.

This. Because we left our undefeated senior qb on the bench the entire game when LSU's offense could not even cross mid field for 4 quarters.

A lot of similarities with inadequate coaching.

Stud with offense

and Javi with hitting.

Miles noticed there was a problem and made a HR hire. PM refuses to cut Javi because of Javi's relationship with the family.
