doesn't get them to cross the plate. Next

And who do you want to steal with? Our best base stealer (Bregman) was never on base.

20 LOB

this was the problem last year. too many people left on base and untimely hitting.

too bad that it happened this time of year. but good season nevertheless

Avoids the DP possibility while moving a runner into scoring position. Next guy or two drives him in with a base hit. Get it now?

I agree with Wiseguy 20 LOB is bad but the real number is success with runners in scoring position

And turns some grounders and fly balls into run-scoring plays.

you just assume that the Sac bunt was successful. YOU'RE ASSUMING. That's your argument.

You should change your name to fricking moron. UCLA scored both of their runs without a single hit. Pressure makes the defense wilt. next time instead of pretending to be cool (when you are a giant douche) try to add to the conversation.

they scored because of errors.

I mean, come on.

You bunt and steal to put pressure on the defense and get guys in scoring position...it's the reason every single team in Omaha is playing this way.

UCLA put pressure on us every single inning b/c they'd get a guy on 1st, bunt him to 2nd and have two shots at having him score.

We had Laird and Stevenson on 1st with great opportunities to steal today...against a new catcher for UNC.

Laird steals second on Bregs AB..no telling how that inning turns out.

you are assuming they field and throw the bunt successfully.

Pressure makes you not execute. Plain and simple. Not going to argue it. I would rather dull the pain with a cold one.

This may be moot if Bregman fields a sharp grounder.

We left runners on base all year.

We may have been as complete a team as everyone thought.
