On a boat that you're planning on fishing more than 2 people, yes.

They fold down. Hell, mine is never even noticed until my wife gets onboard. Pretty sure I'll always have one from now on. Pretty much the greatest thing ever.

The Bimini on my grandpas boat was always just folded down if fishing, not a problem. Only time to open it is for joy riding anyway

I had some serious concerns about Shearwater boats after reading this thread about a Sterling Flats boat and seeing some of the wiring pics. FYI Sterling is the same company that builds Shearwater.

I have the 25 and the T-Top is only an issue if you're fishing off the back deck which is where we stick the ladies if and when they come fishing with us.
On another note, I have had issues with the cheap light covers on all the lights on the T-Top and the center console. They have all fallen off either from the heat or a few choppy rides offshore. My bilge pump also comes on quite frequently when the boat just sits in the water for a while. Every 15 minutes or so and seems to empty about 2-3 gallons of water. I have no idea where it's coming from. Neither does the dealer.
A little more power wouldn't hurt either.
