I was there sitting the row beneath the band. We didn't get back home in LA until Tuesday. Think we found every backyard bar room on the drive home

Meh, that game was really a lot more concerning than people know. Jay Barker was out, Sherman Williams went down very early, Tarrant Lynch was in and out. The Langham agent stuff was making the rounds. Trying to play a true frosh QB alternating with Palmer. The whole pigs fly comment came from a Montgomery paper and the writer is a BIIIGGGGGG Aubie. There was genuine concern that week amoung Alabama fans I knew with all the injuries and off the field stuff. Wasn't surprised at all we lost. We would have lost to most of the SEC those couple of weeks. We had just beaten a 5 win USCe team 17-7 with those guys in the lineup. AU put it on us at the end of the year pretty good. Limped to the Gator Bowl and a 9-3-1 record. Stallings worst team besides his first one who was actually more talented but had trouble adjusting in 1990.

Man, this is some bad football. I had forgotten how bad it was. Being a grad in mid 80s I lived it but I guess I had blocked it out. Sure has been a good time to be Tiger fan for last 10-15 years.

You hadn't lost a game in what...2 years? And we lost at home 58-3 about a month before that.

Ain't that some shite? Those damn bamtards can find a reason for losing all the way back in 93 that has nothing to do with the other team being better that game.
