Midseason he was one of our hottest hitters, but for the last several weeks I can't remember him getting a hit. I think it's time to make a change to Foster or Moore and move Laird to lead off.

Friend I watched the game with last night posed the same question. When was the last time McMullen hit his way on base?

Move everybody up a spot in the lineup and insert Tyler Moore batting 6th after Ibarra.

Laird
Bregman
Katz
Rhymes
Ibarra
Moore-DH
Jones
Ross
Foster

I don't want to call it an overreaction, because there are tons of those flying around last night, but I thought the same thing during the game. He's definitely not peaking, but I don't know how I feel about starting Moore or Foster

2 hits vs. Sam Houston State before he strained his hamstring. I believe he played both games vs. Oklahoma and again last night without a hit.

this is how the lineup should be:

1. Rhymes LF
2. Laird CF
3. Bregman SS
4. Katz 1B
5. Jones 2B
6. Ibarra 3B
7. Ross C
8. Moore DH
9. Foster RF

moving Rhymes to leadoff being as he is a great contact hitter is smart, also makes it less likely that he can hit into a DP. Mcmullen isnt hitting well, but Moore is, so move him to DH and drop him to 8th moving JaCoby to 5th, then take Stevenson out, move Laird over, and put Foster in RF to take the 9th slot. thoughts anyone?

The only strength there is he stays out of GDP ball. He's not meant to leadoff.

Moore AND Foster? Nah.

I do agree with J Jones at 5.

I find it hard to move bregman or Katz.

Just go with rhymes at the top. Laird or jones 2nd. Ibarra 5th, jones/laird 6th. Ross 7th, foster 8th, and McMullen 9th. I still favor McMullen over most other options as the dh. Take some pressure and responsibility off at let him knock around some fbs in the 9 spot.

Nothing against McMullen, but I feel Tyler Moore has earned a start at DH.

law of averages says he is due for some hits. I say leave him in. don't abandon what got us here.

I also agree that tyler moore deserves a spot in the linup

no doubt, he kept us in there last night with that rip to center, he comes up big alot, and theres nothing bad at all about having mcmullen as a quick DH when needed, say if foster slumps

We don't have a burner that has the ability to leadoff so I don't see a problem with rhymes. The guy is going to get on base and is as capable as most of our lineup on the base path.

If we did not rely so much on bregman to drive in runs he would actually be the best leadoff hitter for this team. He's the best baserunner on the team and can burn you on an early mistake pitch. A true threat to start the game.

This is what gets me. Tyler Moore has been nothing, but great in his career pinch hitting and I want to see him in the lineup. At the same time, i don't want to throw away what go us here

Can Cody Glenn hit? Maybe we should let Glenn hit and use the DH for Stephenson. Can't hit any worse.
