Spurs best team ever to come from a rival league?

I was thinking, since the Spurs are in the finals again, that they are really the only successful (championships) team to come from the ABA (Pacers, Nets, Nuggets and Spurs... God Bless the Kentucky Colonels). But are they the best across the 4 Major sports?
NBA - Spurs
NFL - Maybe the Pats or Dolphins/Raiders from the AFL, maybe historically Browns form the AAFC?
NHL - Dont really follow it, but maybe the Oilers (WHA)
MLB - No fricking clue
What say the MSB?

I was thinking that the Islanders were a WHA team, but they weren't. So, you nailed it. Oilers are easily the best WHA team.

But on the flip, its been almost 50 years since the Browns won anything of significance. So maybe, its a team like the Pats for having appeared to Superbowls in more decades (4) than than the Browns only doing it the 50's and 60's?
