Where should I preorder my X1/PS4?

I've seen a ton of people posting that they are preordering from amazon, what is the point of this? Won't you have to wait a couple days for it to ship? And why not order from bestbuy or another local retailer?

nah, they ship it a couple of days before so that you get it on launch day. At least that's what they do for games.

Limited stock for retail, my amazon purchase has one day shipping anyways.

Amazon just because I know they have it
I have prime so I got free 2 day. I paid a couple bucks (like 5) for 1 day. So I'm assuming I will get it release day or the next. Idk it seemed kinda vague about it though
