Had the misfortune of being rerouted through LAX when returning from Hawaii earlier this year. Stupid US Air having a plane with a broken wiper blade.

Though it wasn't as bad as when I was rerouted through London Heathrow on my way to Rome last month. What a clusterfrick of an airport that is. Rome was even worse for getting to the international terminal for the return flight.

Eta: is that bragging subtle enough?

I'd bet that no one in LA even knows UCLA has a baseball team, let alone that they're playing tonight.

I watched quite a few ball games at a sports bar/restaurant in one of the terminals during a layover there. It was back in 03 so no clue if its still there. Haven't been back since

I don't know what airline you're flying, but I'm in LAX every 3 weeks or so. I spend time in the United Club, but they usually have the news channels on. Try the nearest sports bar in your concourse and ask the bartender to put it on ESPN2.

Good luck!
