Didn't get out yesterday until 10ish. Fished for about 4 hours. Hit most of our trout in 4 big bunches off Elmers by way of bay boat. Mostly under birds. Didn't get a chance to fish at sundown due to weather. Water was clear while we were there. This morning on our way out it looked very dirty. Ended up with 27 I believe.

Biggest was 23" 3.3lbs. Most were around 14"

I call bullshite on these fine crappie being caught at Grand Isle this weekend. I've been in contact with 4 different groups down there and the reports have been brutal to say the least. One group couldn't even catch a sack of crabs at Artie's.

And I think it's frozen solid, or at least stiff

I caught 16 in the surf at Elmer's. could have limited but for several issues: needing to leave by 9:00, lack of net, being high as shite, general ineptitude.

Doesn't matter where you fish and struggle to do so, somebody found then that day in the same area. You're fishing there because you know there are fish there. Fish eat on the regular, it's just being in the right place at the right time.

Wish I fished inshore or had a Cape Horn, it was nice till I got 60 out and caught the front. 2 clients on board that have never left sight of land and we go from fist bumping on seas to holy fricks.
