Back in 2005 Patriots owner Robert Kraft was in Russia when a funny thing happened: Russian president Vladimir Putin stole his $25,000 Super Bowl XXXIX ring. "I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said at an event this week, via the New York Post. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

Yeah, it happened a while ago. I don't know why this is news now. This isn't the first time it was reported.

I think I remember hearing that someone had lost one but I didn't think it was reported as stolen. That does kinda mesh with the story.
If confronted with this, Putin would probably claim he found it while diving.

Yeah, I heard Putin took the ring, but I didn't remember it being Kraft. I always thought it was a player.
