LSU's Death Valley comes in at number 5

5. Tiger Stadium
Location: Baton Rouge, La.
Capacity: 92,542
Host: LSU Tigers

Neyland Stadium in Knoxville is the biggest. Sanford Stadium in Athens is the most picturesque. Bryant-Denny in Tuscaloosa is the most successful. But for gameday atmosphere, there is nothing quite like Death Valley at night in the SEC. The food, culture, fans, smells and Richter Scale inducing noise echoing from LSU’s Tigers Stadium is second to none. Among the nation’s best college football venue’s, this one might be the best.

SIAP. I looked through the last 5 pages and did not see anything. Article is a few weeks old tho

Seems to be one of the only half-way serious stadiums on that list.

Goofy arse list.

WTF does that even mean? The team playing in there is successful.

believe me, that would be a suck arse proposition, the NFL is like the mafia, the atmosphere would in no way resemble an LSU game experience, but local taxpayers would be forced to foot the bill for it

That's more than double what it can hold.

The Super Bowl has been played in what are normally college-only stadiums before. Super Bowl VIII - Rice Stadium, Houston TX, 1/13/74; XIX - Stanford Stadium, Palo Alto, CA, 1/20/85; XXX - Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, AZ, 1/28/96.

None of this would happen with the Super Bowl Corporate crowd.

Not to mention 'Bama has had the vast majority their success in Birmingham. Up until 30 years ago that's where most of their big games were played.

Yeah, it was the Cardinals home field at the time.

Rose Bowl, Rice Stadium, and Stanford Stadium, were the only venues to host a Super Bowl, while not being home to a current NFL team.
