20 hour drive. I think you should rest after 10 hours. Have fun :)

It's long, but a few friends and I did it in '09. It isn't terribly hard if you have a couple drivers.

If you don't have at least 2 other people with you who can drive, dont do it alone

We drove from Lafayette up I 49. Drive I think 12 hrs and stayed for sure in Joplin Missouri. Drive straight home due to obligations and it sucked.

With the game moved to Sunday night you could leave Saturday morning and be there in plenty of time.

I drove it alone from Birmingham back in 09. It was only 14 hours and wasn't that bad, mainly because every 3 or 4 hours you had a major city (Memphis, St. Louis, KC). I ended up leaving around 5am and arrived in Omaha around 7pm. It's the drive back home that sucks. Good luck and have fun

Drove in 03, stopped somewhere in Kansas and slept then drove the rest the next day. Wasn't bad at all.

<------- has driven straight through three times (from alexandria area)... we like to leave at about 9 pm avoiding most traffic in "key" areas. usually arrive around 10am to 11am depending on stops. (make sure whoever is driving gets good rest to DAY you are leaving. a shift worker or police officer/fireman that maybe has just worked off of graveyards/nights is perfect.)

I drove it in '09 for the championship series left home around 6:00 on Sunday. Took the I-49 to Shreveport, Texarkana route. Couldn't see anymore when I got to Kansas City. Got a cheap hotel, slept for a few hours, freshened up and took our time the rest of the way, bought groceries, etc.

Arrived at Rosenblatt several hours before game time. Hit up the souvenir tents and other local attractions.

Drove straight back with two drivers coming home. Not too bad a haul, but long. Would recommend the night time trip to avoid traffic.
