Listening to the Creighton coach on 104.5 radio today, he said there's been some concern about the size of the park in combination with the new bats. There's apparently never been a home run hit to dead center, and only a handful of home runs total hit in the last 2 years. He said that since the new stadium isn't on the hill and doesn't catch the wind, the HR is basically been eliminated, and just about every fly ball just dies out well before the warning track.

Creighton plays all of their home games at TD, so I'd assume he knows what he's talking about.

Watching the SECT was some of the more boring baseball I've seen in a while, hopefully the CWS doesn't fall into the same trap.

Why? I'd say we did OK in Hoover.

It's more of a style of play thing for me. I'm not in any way saying LSU has a less chance of winning b/c it's a big park. I just found the overall lack of offense to be hard to watch. It's tough to watch a guy at the plate work a favorable count, hammer a fastball by the pitcher, and then just watch the ball die in the gap and turn into a semi-routine out.

Why are you afraid? Last time I checked LSU won the SEC tournament.

"Fixing" the ball affects pitching...not just hitting.

Fix the bats. That's the right answer.

I'm "afraid" of watching 4 games this weekend with 15 total runs scored. I'm not afraid of LSU being impacted more than any other team. In fact, with Nola pitching and our outfield we'll probably benefit as much if not more than any other team.

I just miss offense, that's all
