Damn. I liked his potential. You're right - Harris or bust now for QB recruiting this year.

FWIW I preferred Harris. Not saying Kizer isn't good, I just liked Harris better.

Harris has a load of potential, that is for sure. I just think it may take a little while for it to realize in college. Nothing wrong with that though.

Not only that, but he still hasn't received that Ohio State offer. I feel if he does, that will get those tires moving again. Better to not have to worry about that later on

Didn't they have a guy that was supposedly a "Everett Gholson clone" coming in? Which basically inspired the Kiel transfer?
Malik Zaire
Zaire is on the spring roster. Tommy Rees looks to be the starter....I guess Kizer will be back up next season unless he passes up Zaire, but that gives him only 1 season of eligibility assuming Zaire turns out decent....and Zaire is likely to get playing time this season as a back-up which should give him the in for the starter next season which means he'll have a year and a half of experience before Kizer is on the sidelines at an ND game as a roster player.

it is commitable.
this is a two horse race right now, imo. AU v. LSU with a dark horse of Alabama.

It really didn't hurt us. In fact it helped because had Golson been on the roster Zaire would have been for sure redshirted therefore keeping him from gaining game time experience and taking over the starting job after Golson leaves. Now Zaire is likely to get experience out of necessity because ND is now thin at QB.
