Had lunch with my rep last week and said they have already matched last years number of tickets. Admitted two years ago 10k was a ton of smoke and mirrors and how they messed with few things to tech. Have 10k.

Said this is by far best off season for tix since he's been around (9years)

After a rougjh year last year what do you credit for the excitement going into the new year

Benson's ownership, committment to city, Anthony Davis, young team with young coach potential, Pelicans branding, and tickets are getting cheaper by the minute.

I think Benson being the team owner is playing a huge part. I still can't believe people thought he would be a bad owner. Red Headed Step Child to a free spending billionaire dependent on team success > Favorite Son of a frugal Billionaire who sees the team as a self sustaining side interest.

Good to hear. A good FA period could also increase those numbers as well.

The 10k was basically due to balcony busters.

Rebrand, Benson, AD.

shite will explode if we land a solid FA signing.

I think the rebrand is the biggest reason for all this new attention. Also, I think the arena renovations will help draw some interest as well. When are those set to be finished?

I'm not sure that affected the 10k. Those were full tickets, just that some were free or half-priced, depending on how you think of it.

Benson is basically doing that with the Value seats anyway.

Shinn was much more into this. Stern had no incentive to help New Orleans screw him.

I think it's their price reduction and aggressive sales, especially to businesses.

Renovations will be done in part this offseason (inside bits) and the Lobby next offseason unless it slides.

This. I know of a few people and companies that were going to cancel until they realized their seats got reduced so much that it was definitely worth it to them to keep.
