Get the Gringo: How did this movie get passed over?

I know Gibson is a nazi but this movie is freaking awesome and basically went straight to DVD. I think it is one of Gibson's best movies, as far as script. He does a quality job of acting and the ending is awesome.

Love Mel. I could give a frick what the rest of Hollywood thinks of him as I would be willing to bet their skeletons are easily as bad.

That franchise is a perfect fit. It is a group of guys who used to be A list who are the B list but still belong on the A list.

Mel is a lunatic but I've liked most of his movies. Even the bad ones tend to be somewhat entertaining.
He sounded unhinged on the answering machine but in fairness we don't know how much the chick messed with him to get him that unhinged. Not saying she did but well, she is a chick.
I need to give this one watch. I spend too much time rewatching old shows.
