The company also says loaning and renting Xbox One games "won't be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners."

It sounds like they are working out how much Redbox, Gamefly, etc will have to pay.

For someone like me who has two boys 8 and 12 who like to play lots of games, Gamefly is a great. The boys play what they want when they want.

Looks like the Xbox 360 will be around a good bit longer for me.

This. I will buy a PS4, and just keep my 360 Slim. I don't know what I will do with my PS3 slim.

I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands so you can clear space for the PS4

Microsoft also says players can resell or trade older titles -- no fees required -- at participating retailers. However, it appears there will be some limitations in sharing games. According to a post on game licensing, users can offer a one-time gift of a select title to a friend, so long as they've been on their Xbox Live friends list for at least 30 days.

Trying to understand you, M$. I really am. But I don't get the excessive micromanaging.

not really a fan of that. kind of dumb.

if i want to sell a game to a coworker, one who i dont want knowing im playing a RPG at 3 AM on a saturday night cause im on an all night binge, id have to add them as a friend (for 30 days?!) and then block or adjust privacy settings

stupid for sure.

I think the biggest problem is change in mindset you no longer own the game, but just a license to use it.

I am just not sure I agree with most of what Microsoft is doing. If Sony does the same thing then my PS3 and Xbox360 will be the only consoles I will have until they stop making games for them.
