If you won $300,000,000 lottery

That's $300M after lump sum and taxes. After all the frivolous spending on traveling, cars, house, etc, what would you do long term?

It seems you would have to do something to occupy your time and maintain some type of structure in your life.

Yes, I could go a few years of doing nothing but play golf around the world and travel with my family, but then after that for the next 30 years I would need to do something structured. Maybe start up a company of some sort and be the CEO.

Rebuild cars jeeps trucks bikes etc.

I might even go the full on Starship route and build a city on rock and roll. I don't know.

I'd be more inclined to start up my own charity maybe. That would actually be something to work on long term and provide a great feeling of helping others.

I would want to try to do this, but I think the odds of failure would be pretty high. It really isn't the sort of job that most can just jump into without any experience.

I'm not taking the lump sum.

I'm taking the yearly.

People want the lump sum.....

But jesus christ.....let's say you live for 40 more years.....

Your salary will be 7.5 million dollars a year. for 40 years.

I'm taking that shite all day.

winning that kind of money, you need to take the annual installments. You can't blow it all or get it ripped off from you.
Unless you're 84 years old.

I would set up a new charity and run it, along with my wife.

Other than that, lots of golf. Lots of fricking golf.

I'd probably just invest a ton of money into businesses that would be fun to work at, and not give a frick if they make any money.

Like putting 10+ million into a absolutely state of the art indoor/outdoor paintball facility. No expense spared. Make it literally the biggest, most up-to-date, best facility in the country.

Likely wouldn't make much money, if any off of it. But it'd be cool as shite. You could even make the prices wayyyy cheaper than any of the local competition because you aren't doing it to make a living.

Or, (stolen from the show The Lottery Changed My Life) you could get daily lessons and try to be a pro golfer. Again, you'd probably never sniff the tour, but it could be a lifelong goal that you can work towards for years/decades.
