Does anyone have any experience with Standing Room Only seats? Crowded? Crappy view? Worth it?

Thanks

One would hope not.

Potential first game for me at the New Box and trying to get an idea.

If you go the SRO route, I suggest you get there when the gates open so you can get the best spot

never had SRO but my observation is get there when the gates open, grab a spot on the rail, bring a bottle to piss in, something to drink, and enjoy the game.

Do they have an actual number of SRO tickets they can sell? I guess my question is, have they ever sold out of SRO? There are thousands of place to stand and watch the game at the Box, just curious TIA

There is a number, I don't know what it is. It's whenever the fire department says it's a fire hazard to have that many people in the stadium. I don't think we've ever reached that.

Fun fact: The first day of New Alex Box stadium, they didn't get final approval from the fire department until about an hour before the gates opened. There were no contingency plans in case the fire department declared the place unsafe to open.

If you don't mind standing for a few hours and have never been to the new Box, then definitely worth it.

Thanks. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I'm trying to get the fiance'to be ok with standing for so long.

Depends on how tall you are. I am 6'4 and watched the whole game last Saturday night in SRO with no problem. I was about 2 people from the rail. My buddy is only 5'8 and he was bouncing around like a chicken head. Either way, if you dont go to the bathroom, you can work your way in to a viewable angle. FYI... last week was a record crowd.

The Champions Club is pretty cool. They used to let us in until people started complaining. Dang rich people watching that area to themselves

It's not bad. The first few innings are pretty hectic but after about the 4th peoople start dispursing and your view gets better. Would much rather be in the stadium with the super regional atmosphere then sitting at home.
