It's that time of year. Circa 1996.

Jim's play by play call is unbelievable. If you don't get chills down your spine, you aren't human.

TIME TO GET HYPE!

I love Jim, but the 30 seconds prior to that part at 2:52 (which they left out hhhmmmm) is fuel for the fire for the negatards.

Never get tired of watching that one. While not as dramatic, 2000 was a pretty awesome game as well.

Amazing what vitamins, clean livin', and hard work will get ya, huh?

Did not hear Jim's call live, was watchin' on TV. Was perhaps the ONLY time I didn't feel devastated at the thought of such a big loss 'cause we'd played such a great game against an amazing team. I honestly was not even thinking HR, just get a base hit, and then PING!
To this day, I believe it's the most exciting sports ending I've ever witnessed, college or pro.

Hawpe's HR at the 1:38 mark may be the most impressive I've ever seen. Just knocked the frickin' cover off the ball, and he knew it.

I watch this, and then I roam around and watch videos from 2000, 2009, and such. And then I think of the last few seasons.

frick the assholes who got rid of those bats. They were perfect in 2009. I miss that ping like an old relative who passed away.

That's my favorite part of any highlight video they show in the box. He just places the barrel flat on the ground

Wasn't Cresse in a JaCoby-like slump before that Stanford game?

I wish we could get one of those gorilla era guys to blog on here during the SR and World Series. Hawpe, Cresee, Larson or Barbier would be prime candidates.
