Also Carp threw to live batters the other day and seems to be making a grea deal of progress which instantly gave me a hard on once I heard about it......didn't think he was expected back anytime soon at all. Still will be at least July but still......

And that isn't Matt Carpenter, I'm talking about THE Carp

Carp would be used out of the pen if he returns

Probably at first but then if he performs well i don't see how you keep him out of the rotation, Westbrook would be healthy you would put him in the pen and probably send whichever young starter is struggling the most by then, probably Lyons if I had to guess

Lyons will be gone regardless, either Westbrook or Carp.

If Carp is back 100% and dealing on his rehab assignment, he isn't going to the pen, not a chance in hell.

Westbrook would go to the pen, especially with the elbow issues, and his stuff would be great for a bullpen guy with that sinker.

And of course, Westbrook has been a reliever recently

Maybe, maybe not.

Not like it was an arm or even throwing issue, if that nerve is finally okay, then he can be 100%.

Not a whole lot of information about that nerve issue with pitchers, but if he's really feeling as good as he's saying he does, never count Carp out.

Exactly. If he can pitch I just don't see how you don't start him as he has always performed well. If he proves otherwise then you explore other options

it's good to see wacha get hit a little, keeps his head in check. And shows him that you cannot miss in MLB, in memphis you can get away with those, in the Bigs, it's a souvenir
