Other than with fire.

I've been spraying Bifenthrin on the ol' lady's plants until I smell like a dog thats been dipped at the vet.

These things keep coming back. Suggestions?

use dishwashing soap and water - bout 2 tbls soap to quart of water. spray underside of leaves, aphids will die of dehydration.

also don't overfertilize your plants, won't get rid of em, but will attract fewer to start with.

I would suggest buying some lady bugs but not now with the pesticides

THIS

Or product called "Safer Soap" (same damn thing). both are totally non-toxic and works like a charm.

I've gotten to lazy in my old age and just avoid plants that are susceptible to aphids to begin with.

Ladybugs. Year round protection and cute too.

quote:

Ladybugs eat aphids, whiteflies, thrips, spidermites, scale, and many other small soft-bodied plant pests. The adult ladybug can eat approximately 80 aphids per day. Ladybugs can also assist with pollination in areas where the bee populations have decreased. Protect your roses, flowers, vegetables, fruits, and trees with live ladybugs.
