That's their rough draft. I think Yahoo! wanted a new update for an article tomorrow. I don't think there's any way the Pels takes Bennett. In that scenario (Noel, McLemore, Porter, Len, Olandipo 1-5), I'm all aboard the McCollum bandwagon.

I never got off the bennett bus. Can rotate him and anderson at sf (hopefully anderson is working hard this off season) and go small with AD at C against smaller teams like the knicks. BPA anyway if he ccan't succeed at sf!

He's pretty much the only top 10 guy that would make zero sense if we took him

This.

We've already got Davis starting at the 4 and Anderson as a stretch 4.

I don't see Davis kicking over to be a center full-time, nor do I see Bennett being fast enough to become a 3 at the next level, so that pick would be a waste unless we're flipping Anderson for other assets.

Exactly. I've never been a fan of the 3/4 tweeners (Derrick Williams, Michael Beasley). To me, they are too different of positions to be a tweener in. I feel like you could get away with doing it at the 1/2, 4/5, and even the 2/3, but not at the 3/4. Of course there's always exceptions, and he could become a great player, but I don't feel like Bennett is a good fit for our team.

According to chad ford "while he may look like a pf, he can really shoot and control the basketball". He has the pistons taking bennett to pair with monroe and drummond. What evidence has anyone shown of him not being able to guard a 3? I have just seen hearsay

What evidence does anyone have that he can play the 3? He guarded 4s and 5s at UNLV

I've shown numerous videos of his faceup game looking like a sf and not having a pf's post game. I've showed videos of his foot speed and controlling the ball on fast breaks. I've quoted him saying he could play the 3.

I never said he'd be an elite defender, but he's a versatile athletic tweener .. Everyone just rules him out for the reason that "he can't guard nba 3s". That's a bold statement to make with no evidence. I'm sure if he works hard, and we don't let someone iso him and take a bunch of dribbles, he won't have a problem with defence and will excel at rebounding.

And how about the converse of your statement, nba sfs won't be able to guard him. He's the most offensively gifted player in the draft. We need another go to guy. + our coaching staffs strong point is teaching defense

Sure they won't. I mean, he'll be going against the likes of George, Butler, Gay, James, Durant, Anthony, Pierce, Batum, Parsons, Iggy, Deng, Gallinari, MKG, Wallace, Leonard, Barnes, Harkless, and all the other up and coming SFs in the league.

He'll do great.

This makes him a 3? Numerous good players can do whatever they want in college. Shaq used to lead fast breaks. That doesn't mean their talent is better suited to play that position in the NBA. And having a nice face up game benefits him way more as a 4 than a 3.

Way easier said than done.

Sure as hell shows his ability and potential to play 3, he wasn't in the post and dunking on every play like shaq. Faceups and cutting and dribbling were his Go-to moves

Strength means nothing anymore? Bennett would do what melo and james do to those guys on offense.

If len's gone and you don't want the BPA, bennet, who do you want? We need some damn testosterone on this young team. . Len's gone, I gotta go with bennett, he fits the z chart. You can't convince me otherwise.

It's college, dude. Great players like Bennett do whatever they want. He abuses a lot of slow white dudes in his highlight reels.

Yes, it means he will be a good PF.

I've been on Bennett for awhile now and I like him. I wouldn't even be mad if we drafted him because I think he will be good. But he doesn't fit with what we need. He would be our 3rd PF.

As far as barelling into the lane with AD or ryno having the floor stretched, why not. Potent offensive force

I agree with the fact that there is a decent chance he wouldn't pan out as sf, but he's the best player available and an almost definite lock for production. I think he and ryno could log time at sf. Him more than ryno, definitely. We wouldn't be the first team to create a mismatch with a tweener playing sf. I like him for our pick to try out and if necessary put together a package with GV or something for a player we need.

Okc didn't draft westbrook to be pg, they were gathering talentand look how that panned out.

ETA: it's not like we're 1 player away from a championship team.
