The dude probably sucked as a coach(his record was 41-158) but the school couldn't have handcuffed the guy anymore than they did.

Sad what the administration has done to athletics. UNO was never a power, but made the post season pretty often in both baseball and basketball, now staying out of the basement is a successful year.

And unlike the basketball team they actually played legit D-1 teams in baseball while having the schollies to basically build a middle of the pack JUCO team.

Somethings fishy here. Im pretty sure he was offered a contract extension during the last year. He must have never signed it. My guess is that he and the new AD did not see eye to eye.
