I was strictly talking about the weather. Do you remember Louisiana summers? Now imagine no air conditioning.

shite people were burning up here yesterday when it was 73. Imagine swimming in front of a glacier to cool off.

So did you just walk up and say 'I want X lbs of X' or did they have to order it for you?

The Latter Day Saints

The local church had a "self reliance" seminar the other day that was open to the public. Was busy, but I would have like to have gone.

to both of you.

First, you will want to call them to see when they're open...usually it's only 2-3 days a week. The foods listed in the prepackaged column should be stacked in boxes of 6 large cans, ready to be purchased. For everything else you will have to set up a time to package it yourself. They will show you how, but you should have at least one person to help.

For most people, the prepackaged items are enough. Most of the long term basic foods are among the prepackaged items. Pasta, apples, carrots and powdered milk are the only foods I was interested in that were in the do-it-yourself group.

It's kind of nice having that cool air blow off the glacier (Literally feels like air conditioning) while standing in the warm sun.

Their religion requires you stockpile food and supplies for a certain amount of time. Wherever you find a large Mormon population you will find survival supplies.

Damn i didn't know that and I live next door to a Mormon church

It isn't required but is strongly recommended and the LDS population along the Gulf Coast has done especially well in stocking up supplies because of the hurricane danger.

You won't be able to get supplies from that local church but the canneries mentioned should be fine. I've heard of another website but forgot the address. I'll try to get it for you.

Sounds like I'd need to stay around the camp to provide security.
