Will you purchase any of the fall releases for Xbox 360/PS3?

Note* This thread is obviously not geared for the superior master race.

With much anticipated games such as GTA V coming out a few months before next gen consoles will you buy the game or wait for the new system? This is of course assuming the game is also rereleased on the new consoles.

Personally, I'll probably try and rent games through game fly while I wait a few months for the price to hopefully drop on the new consoles. At the very least wait until any potential bugs are fixed.

I will wait until the PS4.

Not gonna play GTA5 for a limited time only to start over from the beginning when I get my PS4.

Dark souls 2 fa sho (if its out)

Other than that, state of decay is all I can think of and that should be a June release.

So in other words, I'm not sure

Xbox has said they will continue to support the 360 for a long time and EA has said they will continue to release games for it for the next 4 years as well.

I am sure Sony and other devs will do something similar.

That's what I was thinking about. Games like Watch Dogs, GTA V, Assassins Creed IV, Destiny all fit into the category of by it know or wait till it comes out on Next-Gen

This is also how I feel. Especially if the new console game release comes with better features.

I plan on giving the new systems around 6 - 12 months to work out any kinks; AND build some sort of next-gen worthy library.

Let's face it, systems always launch with games that hardly fulfill the graphical / CPU leap promised. In addition, there will be more than enough hardware and software trouble shooting for both Sony and MS in the first few months.

With that being my experience for console launches, yes I will purchase the current gen edition of games this fall.

I can't find official dates, but it looks like sometime early November.

The next gen COD game has an official release date of Nov 5th.

GTA5 is not going to be released for next-gen.

I'll have to wait and see what the release library is. If their library is less than stellar I will use my pc more.

I stand corrected. Last thread about GTA5, the discussion was about how it won't be released for the next-gen consoles.

GTA 5 alone is yet another blow against the Xbox One. PS4 will be able to play it, but the new Xbox won't. Sorry, but I just see it completely faceplanting as a console. Wii-U will still sell solely due to its exclusives like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros. Microsoft doesn't have near the quality or quantity of exclusives as Nintendo or really even Playstation. If I had to take a guess who will win this console war knowing what I know now:

1) PS4
2) Wii U
3) Xbox One

How do you know they'll put games like GTAV on the new consoles? They've been developing them for 360/PS3 for years. I'm not a developer but I imagine you can't just port it right over easily. Even if you could, it will obviously be a lesser version on the next gens.

Like someone else said, they'll put games out for present and next gens for at least 2-3 years after
