I just took all profit in my mutual fund. I've only put $5200 in my roth and it's grown to almost 8k.

I want to put it in ETF for the long term. My goal now is just $200 a month until I get a full-time job in my career field.

I'm looking at the dividend appreciation one since that's the mutual fund I was just in.

Also, the REIT etf.

Any others? Thinking I would divide it up right now into 2 of the etfs, 3 at the most.

things I was in: lionsgate (wish I would have held, it's killing right now) ford, and think VDAIX.

Need to know what else you have to answer.

The ETFs I have now in my taxable account are VOO and VYM

Considering adding VDC as a bear market hedge.

A wiiide array of blue chip companies across many different industries and an ultra low 4 bp expense ratio.

It is a good solid portfolio cornerstone.

How often do managers buy or sell on etfs?

You realize that can vary wildly depending on the etf.

Do your homework. Research. Read over prospectuses.

And those are three distinct steps btw.

The stat you want regarding how much they buy and sell is called turnover ratio.

What about vanguard reit? It's been down a little recently.

Do upward rates = downward reit?
