CBS investigative reporter says her computer was hacked too

She had worked on the Fast & Furious story, as well as the Benghazi story.

quote:

Sharyl Attkisson, the Emmy-award winning CBS News investigative reporter, says that her personal and work computers have been compromised and are under investigation. "I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I'm not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I've been patient and methodical about this matter," Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. "I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public."

Attkisson told WPHT that irregular activity on her computer was first identified in Feb. 2011, when she was reporting on the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal and on the Obama administration's green energy spending, which she said "the administration was very sensitive about." Attkisson has also been a persistent investigator of the events surrounding last year's attack in Benghazi, and its aftermath.

If her computer was hacked, would anybody be surprised if it was done by a government agency?

I would be really, really shocked if this was a government agency.

I sure hope it isn't; that would be horrible for our democracy.

I'm glad we don't have a democracy.

She doesn't work for Fox, must have been the Chinese who did it, yea that's right; the Red Chinese and they probably ordered takeout and made her pay for it too.

Easy enough to determine. Of course she could have picked up a virus from a porn site too. She doesn't sound all that tech savvy.

That would have been true had you added that in fact it was a rogue independent contractor that didn't really have a signed contract to do any work for the government.

========

This is what I was going to say. Viruses and Malware can lead to intrusions. We would have it happen a few times a year where I used to work. Usually people who were traveling and surfing non work related sites.
