My dad and I fished the trestles this morning for his birthday and had a great day. We could only fish until 10 but it was a beautiful day on the water. We launched at 5:40 and decided to bypass live bait. After a few moves, we started picking up a few here and there, but it never turned on while we were out there. We ended with 16 specks and 2 nice flounder. I've never seen that many boats on the water! There was a boat every 50 yards as far as you could see each way. My buddy started fishing at 9:30 and just texted that he caught his limit. The best part of the day is that I caught most of the fish and as soon as I started bragging, my old man put a 4 pounder in the boat to shut me up. All in all, not a great catching trip, but a great day on the water with my dad.
