Is it just me or has Eades been going downhill and Glenn been more and more steady?

Is Glenn now our 2nd best starter?

the same thing happened last year, if you recall

Eades started tiring out towards the end of the season and was not nearly as effective

I wish they would have rested him this weekend, but evidently Dunn thought he needed the work

He should not pitch in the SEC Tournament if they have any inkling that he is fatigued.

Eades hasn't looked like the clear cut #2 for the second half of the season

Eades has had a lack of control for a while now

He seems to always struggle in the 1st and or 2nd innings but then will settle in thru the middle innings. He makes me very nervous esp if he has to start an elimination game since he gets into a lot of jams but seems to get out of most. May not be so lucky against post season teams?

not really he has always allowed guys to get on and he works out of it. Just every once and a while he gives up big innings.

I wouldn't be worried about him. He pitches well enough to keep us in games he won't win any like nola has. Bats will give him enough for the win.

I was hoping Eades shut the door on them for a few in Inge today and was able to get more rest. Glenn is #2 in my book going forward.

warm wind blowing out its a bad day for pitchers. This game doesn't matter so he may not have motivation to bare down and get outs.

Its a sign of the conditions today when he hit up their ace one of the best in hte SEC for 6 runs.

Eades won't lose a game for us if our bats are going we will be fine.

lets look at eades starts going from most recent to older

@ aTm 6 1/3 8 hits 1 run (earned) 1 walk 1 k W 9-1
vs UF 6 3 hits 2 runs (both earned) 3 walks 6 ks W8-1
vs USCe 7 6 hits 2 runs (no earned) 3 walks 3 ks ND
@ Bama 4 8 hits 5 runs (all earned) no walks 3 ks ND (Bama hit the ball well against him no control issues)
@ Arkansas 4 8 hits 5 runs (all earned) 3 walks 5 ks L7-1
vs UK 8 2/3 4 hits 1 run (earned) 1 walk 6 ks W7-0

he has clearly strulled alittle more but with the exception of his 3 5 run games he has pitched very well. Arkansas was his worst, Bama hit him well he did control it well. I would ignore today wind blowing out warm day and it means nothing (plus had a solid lead).

I suspect Eades will pitch well in the post season and still be good enough to keep us in it and give us a chance to win every time.

BTW all but one game this year have we been in it with Eades pitching this year that is his job. He has done it all but one time this season.
