Mettenberger doesn't make Mel Kiper's Top 18 Draft Eligible QB's for 2014?

So Mett as a Senior isn't one of the 18 best QB's that are draft eligible in 2014 according to Mel Kiper.
Didn't see a thread on this, and I searched...
thoughts?
If I were Mett's team mates, I'd put that article up in his locker in plain sight
essentially, Kiper is saying that Mett will not be drafted

Bad pocket presence, very low release point on throws. Probably is not one of the best 18 qbs in the country.

I know he doesn't set the world on fire. But his size and arm make him top 10 at least? No way there is 17 better qbs better then him coming out next year.

Why does it matter where Kiper ranks him? As long as he performs well for LSU does it really matter .

he probably didn't even put that much thought into it. Lazy reporting but he is probably basing on production alone.

I like Mett. I think he's a solid QB who could win a MNC, but he wasn't even a top 8 QB in the SEC last year. People can blame the receivers, o line, and coaching, but several other QB's were noticeably better.
Though I think he could end up top 4 this year. Maybe even higher. The main things that hold him back are pocket awareness, mobility, and blitz recognition on the DB's

That rocket arm isn't worth much if it isn't accurate. He also didn't make quick decisions last year and was a statue in the pocket. Mett has a lot of improving to do this year to show he's capable of being an NFL QB. Not saying he can't do that though.
