According to reports in South America this morning, former Manchester United, Atlético Madrid and Villarreal striker Diego Forlán could be heading to Major League Soccer. The 33-year-old Uruguayan forward is apparently seeking a switch to MLS, with Independiente in Argentina also interested in signing the player of the tournament from the 2010 World Cup. “I like the MLS a lot,” Forlan said. “I have gone there on holiday a lot. I would love to go.”

Forlan and Keane up front would be awfully potent.

Be pretty unfortunate for McBean, Zardes, and Villareal.

I doubt it will happen but LA is the only team I could see him coming to MLS for. Wonder if there is going to be another DP Midfielder for LA coming, now that Lamps is resigning.

Good news is that Foreigners get to choose.

Yeah. But. That's kind of the way it is in every country. Except for US nationals.

And it's shitty. I wasn't arguing against that.

Dieguito in MLS would be fantastic. Super Fat Frank should be there too. Frank, moresoe.

After his stellar season close, he´d be on Beckham level in the US, maybe not so from an off the pitch sense, but certainly with the soccer faithful.

He just may get more endorsements (which tally considerably lower from an economic standpoint, due to Beck´s all around star firepower), but they´d be solid, and he wouldn´t have to apologize for anything. He´d also live extremely well, be playing football, not be taxed mentally or physically, and probably have a grand old time.
