Anybody fishing the Big Bass Splash this weekend at Toledo? I'm heading up to the camp tonight and probably gonna fish all three days.

I am eventually going to fish this tournament. I am usually there every other weekend but I don't have a boat to fish it yet.

Man I always like to bring someone so remind me when the time gets close next year. I sold my boat (like I seem to do yearly now) about a month ago and havent bought a new one yet. A buddy of mine asked me to fish it with him so Im with someone else in their boat this year. Not sure how I will like not being on the trolling motor

Will definitely be a different feeling fishing the back. I don't have a boat so I usually just fish with friends and the back of the boat is my domain . I will definitely remind you. Good luck to y'all.

A deal. I actually have a small 16' boat and I might just use it until I finish my MBA. I have way too much going on now to fish very much anyways.

Its a great tournament. Ive fished it quite a bit and still get excited about this one because that one lucky bite can be a huge win. And if you dont get that big bite, still fun fishing all weekend and being around the festivities.

My buddy the last time wouldn't listen to me.

Find some heavy cover in 3-8 foot of water and punch a hole in it with a heavy weight and drop in something big and dark.
Use braid, at least 30 pound#, and a 5/0 strong hook.

Besides fishing deep water near the river, that's the best bet of hooking a hog..
