i believe 2 in niko roberts and justin wesley. justin wesley will be like the 10th guy i think (might play a few more minutes early because he's old) but he sucks. niko roberts comes in just before tyler self for a nice reference point.

Who would you even say is Self's best Kansas player in the NBA? There's not much still doing anything in the NBA

This is awesome, stays out of the ACC, and spreads the wealth to another blue blood program instead of going to Kentucky. Love Self as a coach, everyone knocking his 'system' sound like those that used to say that Coach K couldn't coach one and done players. Talent is talent, turns out that Selby and Henry weren't that good at basketball. Can't wait to watch Wiggins at KU.

Wiggins is scared of the pressure.

Doesn't want to go to summer school and compete early.

Doesn't want to be the guy to help carry his parent's alma mater to new levels.

Doesn't want to play in the pressure cooker that is Lexington and chase history.

He chose the school that does a terrible job of developing NBA talent, doesn't fit his playing style, and will most likely flame out of the tournament as usual.

Bill Self players really do have a surprising lack of success in the NBA, especially the big men, considering all the blue chip prospects he brings in.

it's really not very surprising at all, honestly. who do you think should have been successful that hasnt been?

i just had this huge post typed out defending self's guys in the nba. didn't post it because it was pretty whiney and gay. however, the sentence "we found out that selby and xavier henry just weren't good at the sport" was a big hitting point.

Everyone should go play basketball for Ben Howland. His system is so good at preparing players to play in the NBA. Russell Westbrook, Jrue Holiday, Kevin Love, Darren Collison and others really honed their craft playing in that NBA system.

honestly, if i were playing d1 ball, it'd be between howland and rick barnes, because clearly those guys are just better at developing their guys for the next level.

I don't blame him. Kansas' OOC schedule is going to really showcase him.

They will have Duke in the Champions Classic, Battle 4 Atlantis (though it's a weak field, Kansas should roll through), @ Colorado and @ Florida three days apart. New Mexico in Kansas City 4 days after THAT. Then home games with Georgetown and San Diego State. That's a lot of face time.

It's a shame our rotation against Kansas in the Champions Classic has already passed. That would've been a fun one to watch.
