Hopefully the title says it all. I've worn out/mangled my old cheap cast net that I learned how to throw on. I had it so long I don't remember what brand it was. Which ones do the all knowing OBers prefer?

Whatever is cheap. They never last me more than a couple years no matter what brand. Always find something to snag them on and tear them up.

Calusa/ or old salt by calusa is a little cheaper.

Just bought one yesterday from Academy.
Don't know the brand, but it was the only option they had, outside of nylon vs. monofilament.
I was advised by kid behind the counter who fishes commercially that the monofilament was a better option, and he said for my use, the brand they sell would hold up.
I had the previous one from Academy, and it lasted years, until I did something stupid with it, and threw it over broken tree branches in a pond, and tried to break the branch, instead of getting in the water and freeing it.
