Defying conventional wisdom, the Pelicans will select either Ben McLemore or Anthony Bennett in the 2013 NBA draft. Burke will be gone because Orlando will opt for a point guard rather than Noel.

Sources, you may ask? Reasoning? Impeccable sources and reasoning.

Been playing with Ford's lottery and mock draft and killing time before doing some yard work. Those two continue to come up. One of them is a lock.

Thanks for listening.

I came to the same conclusion through my intense research consisting of clicking the "play the lottery" button.

Fwiw I would be super excited for McLemore. Would be awesome.

I don't know what to think of Bennett yet. Great scorer, tweener size.

The most effective and reliable research tool available on the internet.

Truth be told, I wouldn't hate either of those choices, btw.

I think McLemore is the best player in this draft so I wouldn't hate it.

I like it. I am warming up to McClemore. He would be a good fit next to Vasquez and we could dump Gordon with a good reason (young replacement). I think the team should target him or Porter, but I'm thinking Anderson plays alot of SF next season. So he doesn't seem to be as big of a priority..

I actually think Mclemore is a legit really good prospect, in this draft, or any other draft.

To me he's a better prospect than Bradley Beal was last year and Beal went 3rd overall in a supposed strong draft. I think Mclemore is Beal + the elite level explosiveness that Beal got knocked for.
