Serious baseball question--is the width of the strike zone the width of the plate, or the distance between the inner edges of the batters boxes?

Dear OP,

If you create a DAT, you need to update the score and inning via the subject line on a consistent basis.

It wasn't a DAT. He was just booking a win.

Its my new favorite post of all time. Topping the time G4 asked if you could put a pitcher you already took out back into the game.

I'm going against the Astros the rest of the way. 1-0 going into tonight.

My hope is that Houston doesn't win too many of these big dog lines..

the width of the plate

OK thanks. The MLB website had the strike zone across the width between the batters boxes, which was throwing me off since I thought it was the width of the plate. (Then again they changed the substitution rules so anything is possible.)

I said (in response to someone else's comments that Trout was not doing well) that there were more instances of ROY's being more like Soto than consistent ones. Actually Soto did well in his third MLB season (only 5 points off his ROY batting average).

Trout has a great career OBP so he should do well.
