When he first got to MGCCC, Williams talked a lot about planning to sign with LSU someday. That was always the goal. Not anymore.

Contact between Williams and the Tigers has been almost minimal, Bennett said, and Auburn has easily been recruiting him the hardest of any school. LSU hasn’t offered and certainly seems to have fallen behind, to the point that an offer might not change things much.

“To be honest with you, I don’t think he’s really interested in LSU anymore,” Bennett said. “I think he’s kind of past that. And to be honest with you, they haven’t shown much interest in him.

“Some of these kids want to be recruited and shown some love, and he’s that type of kid where I think he’s going to end up at the place where they recruit him the hardest. And LSU, they really haven’t recruited him as hard as the other schools.”

What say you guys?? Doesn't sound good. These are just snippits

If after all he's been through, the amount of question marks surrounding him and the last 3-4 years, if he isn't happy with being offered by LSU and getting the opportunity to play here, then I won't be upset if the Staff declares him a hands off guy, despite his talent and potential.

Supposedly he hasn't been offered. Texas just offered him tho fwiw. He's a must get IMO. I know we have an amazing haul of WR but this dude is a flat out stud

Sounds like a trashball JUCO coach offering him to the highest bidder.

I don't believe we are out of it at all with Williams.

I couldn't possibly care less about this guy, even if he's as good as Cordarrelle Patterson. He's a complete head case and he's been a screw up since high school. I'd rather get 3/4 year guys than a 1 year head case.

Definitely not a "must get."

Not even worried. If gets offered by LSU we'll win him back. He wants to be closer to home. Auburn is 5 hours away while BR is down the interstate.

On top of that we have better QB prospects and a better pro style coach in Cameron(yes I know Malzahn runs the spread). His chances of being a 1 and done player to the NFL is higher at LSU. Unless he wants to go the DeAngelo Benton route and end up shite out of luck

The coach can't possibly know what is going on in that kid's head. Hell, no one does. Like it's been said, he's an extreme homebody. He's said its hard to play at MGCCC because of the distance from home, and that isn't even remotely as far as Auburn or any other place. I'm assuming he'll enroll in January? If so, he has until then to make up his mind, and LSU will have a better grip on whether he will qualify or not by then. I'm sure the coaches told him "Get your shite straight, then we'll talk." That's why there hasn't been much contact

He's not a head case, he just didn't have the grades. Not everyone grows up in a conducive academic environment.
