Bumping threads in the "Topic of Interests" list

We're discussing on the GB what criteria makes a thread a TOI, because I have a thread on that one about Call of Duty that has fallen all the way back to page 6.

I know the admins don't like bumping of old threads, but if someone spotted that on the list and commented, would they get a timeout for it? I just kind of assumed that if it hasn't been active for a few days, it would slide off the list.

bumping a thread won't help it...more recent threads will show up on the list versus older threads...

page 6 is acceptable. it's page 100+ that they are talking about, imo

Not trying to keep it on the list. Just curious as to why it's still there. High enough reply count within a certain time frame?

Bumping old threads is okay if it is an update, or if the thread is still viable.

They don't like old threads bumped just to point out something another poster said, or for BS reasons.
