Irons - Game Improvement vs. a Player's Iron...

I'm currently playing a MB style blade but have been kicking around the idea of switching to a GI iron. I'm not a super strong iron player, but adequate with a 7 iron down.

I don't mind having a good result from a bad swing, but don't want my swing to go to crap unnoticed either.

What are my options here?

Stick with the MB's...you don't need a GI iron.

Thanks Weave.

I did pick up this little gem this morning thanks to the TDMSB swap meet yesterday:

I went from Ping S57 Tours, irons that Bubba plays, to Callway Razr X Tours. 10x easier to hit and I can still manipulate trajectory/shape.

So you're hitting blades?

There's a lot of space between blades and GI's

Find the middle ground and try it out

I want the irons you're hitting now.

What would that set run, typically?

they don't make them anymore, so you're looking in the 500-700 range

good Lawd,

I've gotta say, looking over yours and looking over mine was a bit of a difference.

Yeah, like the TM's I have, they made a blade, a muscle cavity and a full cavity

I have the muscle cavities bc I feel like I'm in the middle

I like them

Maybe look at something like the rocketbladez tour or something along those lines
