I know I'm a little late to the party but opinions on Django?

IMO it's one of the best movies that I've seen in a long time. It's got it all. Comedy, action, a good story.

Totally agree. It's my current favorite movie. It's just about perfect. So much awesome acting. Great soundtrack. Great plot. And every scene is excellent.

Like it alot but IMO one of Tarantino's weakest films. Still much better than most garbage out there.

Loved it. Only QT can drag an audience through that many levels of emotion and make us beg for more.

Wife and I watched Django this past weekend. I had heard it was really good, but I just couldn't get in the mood for it.

Made myself watch it. Damn good movie. Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

Great dialogue, great cast,

and the clan scene.

Jamie Foxx. Don't like racist colored folks. Will not watch.

Good movie, a little too long for my taste. Also, I'm probably gonna get blasted for this, but I thought Waltz played his character up a little too much. He was great for most of the movie, but sometimes he went a little too far with the high volume of verbiage. Definitely a entertaining film, though.

It felt like 3 movies combined into one. I enjoyed the first part but then it started to get a bit ridiculous (even for Tarantino movies) when Candie was introduced, and the ending was just awful and left a rancid taste in my mouth for this movie.

I thought Inglorious Basterds was much better. Django was good, but definitely didn't live up to the hype this board gave it.

I thought there was something missing in the story. Not sure what it was, but there was just something not there.

The story was missing logic. That might have been the issue you had.

This is exactly how I felt. I remember about 1.5 hours into it thinking to myself how great it was, but by the time it ended it I hated it.
