Carried by Kenny Smith and Otis Thorpe.

We were arguing about when his prime years were, tard. You can't even remember what we were originally arguing about?

Olajuwon outplayed O'Neal. He outscored him in every game.

And speaking of Drexler, if he was the difference, how come Penny had better stats than the Glide? Since stats mean so much.

Penny:
25.5 PPG
8.0 APG
.500 FG%
1.0 SPG
0.8 BPG
.458 3P%
.913 FT%

Clyde:
21.5 PPG
6.8 APG
.450 FG%
1.0 SPG
0.3 BPG
.154 3P%
.789% FT%

Penny outplayed Clyde in literally every statistical category, but you claim Clyde was the difference.

And because Shaq got outscored in EVERY game by Hakeem, but simply had a higher FG%, he outplayed Hakeem.

Everyone who watched that Finals saw Hakeem outplaying Shaq. I'm sorry you're wrong, but you are. FACT.

Good day.

And Sam Cassell, Maxwell, Clyde, Horry, and Elie, but please tell me more about how much you watched the Finals and know more than me when you clearly don't.

I know what we were talking about fool. Damn you are a special kind of stupid. Hakeem's Prime was 88-93. He didn't win a title until after that. Thus my statement that he was out of his prime was correct. Now piss off fool.

He made 12 more buckets than him.... with 42 more shots. Shaq shot 60% to Hakeem's 49%. Shaq had more rebounds, assists, and blocks.

Hakeem was able to take 42 more shots.... forty fricking two!!!!... in only 4 games!

If you're your team's best scorer, how can you allow yourself to take so few shots? I mean, actually think about that. WHY DID SHAQ GET SO FEW SHOTS OFF COMPARED TO HAKEEM? Hakeem wasn't allowing Shaq to get the ball or get shots off. Shaq had no outside shooting and could only get relatively few extremely high percentage shots. Because of Hakeem's defense. End of discussion.

By the way you're a fricking moron.

Who fricking cares???? Go back and WATCH the series and come back to us. The #1 story that came out of that Finals was Olajuwon outplaying Shaq! You are just making yourself look stupid to all of the posters who are over 30.

He scored over 30 a game in the Finals, was the Finals MVP and lead his team to a sweep but this idiot is too dumb to think any of that matters. If he was arguing Shaq was a better player in his prime I would agree with him but that series was when Olajuwon showed how truly great he was.

I'll just leave this here: Shaq vs. Hakeem H2H

Love this little nugget:

quote:

Total: Hakeem: 253 touches, 140 doubles (55.3%) Shaq: 221 touches, 146 doubles (66.1%)

Here are their stats when they were guarded by each other: Shaq 32-57 (56.1 FG%), 6-8 FT, 67.3 double teamed%, .578 TS%, 17 assists, 1 O-reb allowed to Hakeem
Hakeem: 31-75 (41.3 FG%), 9-13 FT, 60.2 double teamed%, .446 TS%, 8 assists, 3 O-reb allowed to Shaq

Shaq made Hakeem his bitch.

Also from my link:

quote:

-I'm not sure why Penny wasn't more aggressive. Kenny Smith couldn't guard him at all. When Penny did drive to the basket, he made a few shots over Hakeem.

-Drexler was the man in this series. He really wanted to get his first title badly. For some reason, people rarely talk about him despite him getting more WS than Hakeem in that playoff run

Except for the fact that Hakeem couldn't shut down Shaq on his own at all (double teams didn't help either), and Shaq shut Hakeem's arse down (Made him shoot under 42% when matched up one on one).

Uhhhhh......because The Dream had the paint locked down. You really should try watching the series. Stats don't tell the entire story, even though The Dream had better stats, and if you actually watch it you will see who the better player was.
