Some CP3 quotes:

quote:

"I don't know how this whole thing is going to play out," Paul said. "I'm going to pray about it. We'll see."

"All season long, it's something that I said I would address after the season and I really didn't think about it all during the season," Paul said. "The season's not even 24 hours from being over, so I really haven't thought about it. The craziest thing is that this season is over. I still haven't got that wrapped around my brain."

"When I woke up this morning, little Chris had gotten in my bed and the first thing he said was, 'Daddy, why you lose again?' " Paul said. "I told my wife last night on the bus riding to the airport, that's the toughest thing now. He's old enough to understand what's going on and that we don't have any more games to go. I think about that type of stuff because that's my guy and we don't have any more games. He's going to be a little confused."

Paul said he wouldn't necessarily have to be recruiting to stay with the Clippers, but also wasn't patting himself on the back for turning around the franchise from where it was before he arrived.

"I don't know. This right here was unacceptable," Paul said. "We lost in the first round to a good Memphis team but a team we were capable of beating. There are no moral victories ... I have nothing to do. This is unreal. We only played two weeks long than everyone else that didn't make the playoffs. That sucks. That stings."

Whether Paul believes the Clippers are capable of playing more than two weeks into the postseason likely will go a long way in deciding whether or not he will re-sign this summer, but he's in no rush to make that decision.

"I'm going to take my time," Paul said. "I haven't even thought about it. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do the rest of the day. I might go home and swim with my son or something. This is nuts. I don't know what to do. I purposely didn't put anything on my calendar because we're supposed to still be playing."

So Screaming A. just said that he's hearing Clippers will try to trade Blake, DeAndre, Bledsoe for KG and Paul Pierce, and will fire Del Negro and try to get permission from Boston to get Doc Rivers. CP stays in La La Land.

Pretty sure you left out several misused 4-syllable words.

I could see it. May let you think you can compete now and gives you flexibility in 2014 and 2015.

If I'm the Celtics, I have to seriously consider that deal even if it means Doc walks.

Rondo is their only long-term asset right now because Pierce and Garnett are near the end of their careers.

Getting Blake means two stars locked up for the long-term, at which point the team can start flipping pieces to get better at the 2, 3, and 5.

They could probably immediately flip either Bledsoe or Bradley for Lopez. I actually can see this going down. Ainge has been trying to cash in the Big 3 for 2 years now, he'd be all over this trade.

The only reason I can believe the Clip Show would do that is that someone over there, either CP3 or in the front office, pushed hard for KG during the season but couldn't get him thanks to his no-trade clause.

They probably figure that bringing Pierce with him may be enough to have him sign off on a deal.

The Celtics lineup under the new deal-

Rondo / Bledsoe / Bradley
Jason Terry / Courtney Lee / Jordan Crawford
Jeff Green / ?
Blake / Bass / Sullinger
Jordan / Fab Melo

They could focus on getting a 3 and a 5 given all the talent they have at the point and 4.

What?

You could see them trading Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe for Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

Get real man. You're one of the best posters on here. That's Onion level rumors.

And a Celtics source has called the rumor "absurd".

Pierce could be amnestied. Garnett might retire. Both are at the very ends of their careers.

LAC isn't parting with Blake, period. One of the dumbest things Stephen A has ever muttered.

Look at who's in charge of the Clippers. No one. I think if they had to choose between Paul and Griffin, they'd choose Paul. He can carry a team to the playoffs on his own, Griffin can't. And this seems like the kind of deal that an agent desperate to keep Paul in LA would come up with. Just because it's ridiculous doesn't mean it can't be real considering the situation.

I think you have to consider it on both sides. Obviously for Boston, it's a no brainer. For Clippers I'm considering it mainly because all our best season in franchise hx got us a first round exit in the playoffs, and I don't think a core of CP, Griffin, and Jordan would get it done going forward.

It was rumored that the Clippers went after Garnett hard. He's clearly on Paul's radar. I think the other main selling point of this trade to Paul would be freeing up a max salary slot for Melo or LeBron in 2014. Again, it looks like something an agent would come up with, but his people are going to be selling him hard on staying in LA, even if it takes a stupid trade to make that happen.

Its so far beyond ridiculous it is not even worth talking about.

Seriously, this is just Screamin' A being an idiot.

And I have to disagree...the Clippers would chose Blake 10 times out of 10.
