Pretty good read. I bet Gordon would have some extra pep in his step if CP3 were to return.

Great article. I just can't see him swallowing his pride and coming back. I would be all for it though.

If it means winning why not? Other than us I think Houston is the other team he considers

I see CP3 trying to get a good coach in LA to replace Vinny rather than returning to NOLA.

Doesn't hurt to make an offer as long as we get an answer before it costs us other FAs, like Pekovic, in the event he delays a decision a la Lebron.

Who will want to coach a team that is so cap strained with a ceiling of getting eliminated in the second round. Only guy whom I think CP3 will like in that situation is Byron Scott.

It would make a lot of sense for Chris to come back to Nola. The team is in the best shape it has been in a long time. The biggest thing the Hornets have now that they never had when CP3 was here is Gordon. Together they would have the potential to become the best backcourt in the NBA.

Maybe I am getting my hopes up just to be let down, but I am praying Chris gives the organization a hard look. Do work Dell!

Been dreaming about this ever since he left, watching him throw lobs to Anthony Davis in the Olympics was awesome. I think deep down he saw something there too.

FWIW CP sneaks into the city alot during the offseason and is still very active in the community here in NOLA. Wherever he goes I don't think that will ever change. He also has huge respect for the people in the city. I think he felt he had to leave for the sake of his career, but it wasn't a easy decision. I don't see him playing for the Pelicans, until after his next contract is up. I would say Atlanta and Houston seem to be the front runners at this point.

With Houston's showing last night and lack of a PG, I'd say they're the hands on favorite

If he doesn't resign in LA, which I think he will

I agree Houston is the favorite, and I really don't see him going back to LA only reason he goes back is because of the money

It's a nice thought and all, but we are pretty far down the list I imagine.

He allegedly has almost full control in LA, so he has power. He's in a huge market with almost unlimited exposure opportunities. They have a legit star next to him in Blake. They have pieces to move in Bledsoe, Jordan, etc. that can add some very legit pieces. He doesn't leave.

If he does, it's Houston or ATL. Houston to play with Harden, Parsons, Asik, Linn...solid team, has a superstar.

Lots of smoke that Griffin/Jordan (bffs) dont like playing with Paul and vice versa

Simers at the LA Times wrote about it a month ago and Simmons mentioned it recently too.

I don't think our market is big enough for Lebron's little BFF

Us peasants in New Orleans aren't worthy of someone of his talents

I've heard and read about the same thing and sources. The conventional wisdom among many is that this team had advance deep into the playoffs to make it all worthwhile to Paul.

I could only imagine Paul returning to N.O. if he saw some other huge moves being made here, and Monty, Dell and Benson himself gave him some sort of sales job. Nice thought, but I'd be shocked if it happened.

I see him choosing Atlanta. They have 3 players guaranteed under contract for next season. It's the only place, right now, where both he and Howard can sign and play together.

Paul, Horford,and Howard > Paul, Blake,and Jordan
