Rape and bar fights are two totally different types of crimes.
In my experience bar fights are usually a two sided event. Rape on the other hand is unprovoked.
Nice flame attempt.

So dumb. I had a buddy and this very thing happened to him. I was there that night and the guy he hit shouldn't have been hit, but he was running his mouth to my buddy for some time before he got punched. It was like poking a rabid dog with a stick pretty much. I wasn't at the Hill thing, but not many people go around hitting others unprovoked. The guy my buddy hit was an obnoxious douche and got exactly what he was asking for. My buddy still should have taken the high road and not let the guy under his skin, but because he hit the guy in the face, cut him, and the guy needed stitches, he was charged with battery.

Your friend probably showed a little bit of tolerance, but maybe not as much as you would have shown. Now imagine the tolerance you or your friend would have shown if you had a 6 month suspended sentence waiting for you if you hit the guy.
When this all plays out, maybe the other guy gets charged too. If so, who cares. But if he isn't guilty of anything than nothing really justifies what happened.

Yes. Most rape victims know they wanted it.

Was the guy dressed provocatively? Perhaps he was asking for it?

Not defending anyone. But if im at a bar and some one says they are going to their car and get something to take care of me and then turn their back. They aint getting to the car.
Not saying thats what happened. Just saying. Wait for all the facts.

No, no you still couldnt make it. They beat up a guy, he didnt even get injured. You cant fricking compare an arse whipping to rape.

He's not making that comparison. He's comparing the logic used to charge a rapist with the logic used to charge a batterer. You have the best sig quote on the Rant, but you're wrong on this one. (Not saying the poster is right, just saying your criticism if it is invalid)

What did "the Victim" do to get these guys so pissed at him?

I thought the rumor was that he called em the N-word. Still not justification for sucker punching a dude from behind. Show some goddamn restraint.

I get what he is saying, Im just not comfortable with any facet of a battery charge being compared to a rape charge. Might not be right or wrong, but i'm just not going to do it. And like I said, I could just shake some of these SOBs, so that clouds my judgement a little.

Oh and I take it you know Cy Brown.

nice cover up by Les and company

Not really.

A nice cover up would be this thing being swept under the rug 5 minutes after it happened.

I don't think that his point was to compare the 2 crimes- can't compare the 2; rather, he was pointing out the lack of defenses to the crime. He called me a name is not a defense to battery.
