Top 10 recruiting class coming in. JJ is going to have these boys ready to play. We're going to the tourney next year. FACT

The SEC as a whole will be vastly improved helping the RPI and SOS of every team in the conference. With the Old Spice Classic alone our non-conference schedule is already better than last season, so seeing some other qulaity games will help seeding.

But I cannot wait for some lineups like this:
PG: Hikey
G: Stringer
F: Martin
F: JOB3
C: Odo

PG: Quarterman
G: Morgan
F: Martin
F: Mickey
C: JOB3

Bringing in guys like Hammink, Coleman, Malone, Collins, to supplement these lineups
The press will be awesome!!!!!
Someone equated it to Arkansas 40 minutes of Hell, it will be more like that, or we could just outrebound and destroy teams inside, either way with the versatility it will be interesting.

Tough decision when you have to decide between Mickey, Coleman, Hammink, and Martin for PT.

I love the play of Stringer and Hickey, but I have been longing for this lineup:

quote:

PG: Quarterman
G: Morgan
F: Martin
F: Mickey
C: JOB3

I'd be okay with Odo in for JOB also. That would make one of, if not the most athletic lineup in the country and that isn't a homer call, just fact.

I really wanna see if Malone can contribute this year, if so then it will make a huge difference. Having a 7'0 that can function would not only help JOB as ADP did but will create matchup problems in the post.

I don't think we are. Jones came out saying he thinks Malone is a first year contributor.

Gonna be an exciting year

It's going to be special to watch guys like Stringer, Hickey, and JOB come from a mediocre TJ team to a nationally recognized group of guys. They will be the ones that helped pull LSU Basketball out of the shadows years down the line. Special time to be a tiger basketball fan

Good to have some off-season talk of LSU hoops. I hope Bullet puts a schedule together that will actually get some early season fan interest and prepare the team for SEC play and beyond.

Getting in the NCAA tourney is a reasonable expectation next year. You basically have to be one of the 40-45 best teams in the country and if we stay healthy, I definitely think that's do-able.

Geaux Tigers.

Agree. 1 billion percent!
(and please math majors, don't jump all over the % impossibility, like the grammar police did for a previous post).

ESPN has their bold predictions for the 2013 recruiting class. Can't copy and paste because it's Insider but analyst Reggie Rankin's prediction was that Jordan Mickey will lead LSU in scoring, be 2nd in rebounding, and be the catalyst for LSU making the biggest leap in the SEC next season. Even bolder he says Mickey will be SEC freshman of the year.

Reggie Rankin

But you gotta dmit this day and age when people say they have a bold prediction it usually isn't, that is one BOLD prediction for multiple reasons.

Bold Scale 1-10
Mickey leads LSU in scoring: 7 (Martin, O'Bryant, Hickey)
2nd in Rebounding: 5 (Odo, Martin, O'Bryant)
Catalyst for LSU making the biggest leap: 4
SEC Freshmen of the Year: 100,000
