Wanna go fishing Saturday because its my birthday. The problem is according to LA Sportsman and RodnReel there is zero tide movement in Hopedale or Lake Pontchartrain where I want to go. My question is this will I still be able to put some fish in the box? Prob still gonna so which place would be better ? TIA

ETA The reason why I ask is Ive never went saltwater fishing with with zero tide movement. Thanks for the help

You're gonna be fighting 15-20 knot winds.

happy birthday early!

check the weather - LP supposed to be basically unfishable due to winds/strong chop/and turbidity.

NOAA says 10-15 for the Lake and 15-20 for Hopedale

FYI when fishing saltwater you add those numbers together 10-15=25

Yeah, good luck taking a boat out. I'll be safe in my kayak hidden behind the reeds.

It's a shame the wind is gonna be howling this weekend, because it should be a nice sunny weekend along the coast.

Tell me about it. I'm going run lines in the river now and sac au lait fish. I know for a fact I will be wasting my time in the river, but I am to hard headed to not go.

I like the water high back in this spot. When it's shallow, its REALLLLY shallow.

SAT
N WINDS 15 TO 20 KT. SEAS 4 TO 6 FT.

SUN
W TO NW WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 2 TO 4 FT.

Sunday is manageable, but still pretty shitty, not a chinaman's chance I'd go Saturday though. (This is the offshore forcast btw)
