GLD / PLD has almost 0 offensive abilities.. it's not powerful, it's not good to get through anything fast, all it's good at, or at least what it's suppose to be good at - is taking massive amounts of damage and being able to survive because it has massive defense and HP..
by the end of 1.xx, Warrior had more defense, more HP, and could deal more damage than most jobs..... why on earth would you take the gimped PLD over that!?!?!
ETA: When I finally beat Garuda.. it was as a BRD with a WAR as tank.. nobody beat her with a PLD.

I dropped off the face of the earth after the Garuda win.. (had beaten everything in the game at that point)
then again, that might have more to do with the fact that I was fired from my job right after beating Garuda and I found Skyrim and the steam summer sale around the same time as well.

I have never raged on a game that bad in my life.. I might have been a little harsh (overboard) at the time (and by might have.. I mean, WTF broseph!?!?!). I'm still very very happy I ended up beating Garuda as a legit strategy. It's funny how the MMO community works.. "find a way to glitch it, and exploit it" .. fun stuff, and just like that everyone has the best gear in the game.. 12 hours after release..

The nice thing about ARR.. I don't think there will be as many chances for the community to "exploit" anything.. much better servers and much more balanced game should = a much more even game without the ability to exploit as much.
ETA: that being said, I sure how they still find some things, cause I'm joining right in this time around, if SE is stupid enough to allow an exploit, I'm getting that gear, f*** the rules!

If they find an exploit for the relic weapons, sign me up. No way I'm putting in THAT kind of time for one item.

I am pretty excited after watching how the gamepad will work on this game. I am normally all about the ole mouse and keyboard for MMOs for speed but looks like this will work just as good if not faster on a gamepad. It's safe to say I will own this on PC and PS3
