how much did you find yourself going to a strategy guide for help ?

Im going to play this game soon and want to get the full experience and enjoyment by not looking up any hints or anything and just doing it on my own, but at the same time I dont want to be wasting hours trying to figure out what to do. and i woulndt want to miss out on any key items/weapons i guess..

i had to use it to figured out how to get some of the GFs and a part to create squall's ultimate weapon. other than that it's pretty straightforward

For Omega Weapon:

Refine Gilgamesh card for 10 Holy Wars

Then during battle:
1) Cast aura on squall (and others if you want)
2) use holy war
3) kick arse while completely invincible
4) pop a brew and win

by far this. One of my favorite all-time gaming sequences

Only read OP and first page, but FF7 is and always will be a classic. The series itself is an extension of Seiken Densetstu (Secret of Mana) and has such a great base storyline. I liked Adventures, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 12. The only reason X-2 even existed was for fan service. That game blew so bad
