im enjoying the story more and i like the characters better. enjoy the duality of squall and seifer. most hate the draw system but im enjoying it. Love the GFs and think it's really fun learning their abilities. graphics are infinitely better than VII.

If I was playing them all for the first time like you are I may have liked 8 more than 7. As it does have huge improvements in graphics and translation. I think I would still like seven more but I can understand it.

Nostalgia plays a big part in how I rank them. And 7 was amazing when it first came out.

With that said, You will love 9. best in the series

I don't know how one is suppose to know how to draw certain GFs from certain bosses without a guide. Unless you just get use to using Draw at every single boss.

Getting Doomtrain is impossible without a guide.

I have heard people complain about this. Some reason I never notice it.

i started out the game drawing every single thing and realized that you need to do that in order to get all the GFs. Got tired of it, and, though im embarassed to admit, i have a guide open when i play to make sure i dont miss GFs.

how much did you find yourself going to a strategy guide for help ?

Im going to play this game soon and want to get the full experience and enjoyment by not looking up any hints or anything and just doing it on my own, but at the same time I dont want to be wasting hours trying to figure out what to do. and i woulndt want to miss out on any key items/weapons i guess..

Maybe I am showing my age, but I still think FF II and III (US) were the best out of all of them. VII was fun and I remember putting long hours into it back in high school, but the older ones have gotten more repeat plays than any of the newer ones (VII- XIII)

Might be nostalgia, but then again I recently downloaded III on my son's Wii for another play through. So far, it is still holding up.

Yes, I never did either. Thinking about it, I do now remember it, but it never bothered me then.

It's just trying to mask a loading screen.

I am in a play through right now and it doesn't bother me. I just got to Kuja's hideout in the sand.
